Tris declares to her friends in the new trailer, "We're saving the city."

Naomi Watts' character Evelyn is last seen killing Kate Winslet's character Jeanine in the previous film.

"People think walls separate us, but they also protect us," says Evenlyn in the new preview of the movie. "Those people out there kept us in a cage for 200 years. That is not someone I want to engage with."

The antagonist of the film, David, played by Jeff Daniels, attempted to take people from a failing society in order to repair themselves in Chicago, and now he continues to cause destruction.

"For 200 years, the greatest scientific minds have lived here to test the theory, if we could rescue people from a toxic environment and put them in a safe place like Chicago perhaps they would heal it," David says to Prior.

Additional cast members in the film include Zoe Kravitz, Miles Teller, Theo James, Bill Skarsgard, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Jonny Weston, Keiynan Lonsdale and Nadia Hilker.

The screenplay credits for the film, based on the novel by Veronica Roth, go to Noah Oppenheim, Adam Cooper, Bill Collage and Stephen Chbosky. Roth grew up in Barrington, Illinois, which is approximately 32 miles northwest of Chicago.

"The Divergent Series: Allegiant" will be released in theaters on March 18, 2016. Previous films "Divergent" and "Insurgent" were released March 21, 2014, and March 11, 2015, respectively.
