College basketball's March Madness action will be back in full swing as the weekend creeps up on us, with two games slated for Thursday in the South Region.

The first game on the schedule for Thursday just might be the best one as No. 11 Dayton prepares to square off against No. 1 Stanford at 7:15 p.m. After a season packed full of lopsided games across college basketball, fans are happy to see that the teams are getting narrowed down to some degree. However, the road to the elite eight is not going to be an easy one for these teams; the winner will have to face an increasingly difficult schedule. With that being said, anything can happen in the tournament -- just look at what happened to Duke and Syracuse in the early going.

In the second game of the Thursday doubleheader in Memphis, fourth-seeded UCLA will face top-seeded Florida in what could be an interesting matchup. The big difference between these two teams seems to be in the loss column as Florida was only defeated twice this season as opposed to UCLA, a team that dropped eight games in total.

A pair of interesting East Region matchups will be taking place in New York following both of Thursday's games. Third-seeded Iowa State will take on No. 7 Connecticut in the earlier game before Michigan and top-seeded Virginia close out the night with a 9:57 p.m. start time. Virginia is enjoying its top rank as the squad returns to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the mid-90s.
