Joan Rivers isn't known for biting her tongue, so it should come as no surprise that yet another celebrity has come under fire from the comedienne and gossip maven. This time, the original Queen of Mean aimed her talons at HBO Girls star Lena Dunham, claiming that she needs to "dress better" because she's too fat!

USA Today is reporting that Rivers went on The Howard Stern Show (you already know this isn't going to end well for Lena!), and the 80-year-old unleashed an acerbic fury against the actress, whom she called a "hot mess." When Howard tried to defend the actress's talent, Joan laced into her some more, questioning how she could wear dresses above the knee (ouch!), and accusing her of promoting obesity.

"You're sending a message out to people saying, 'It's OK, stay fat, get diabetes, everybody die. Lose your fingers,'" she said. "If you look that way you look, Lena, and that's fine and you're funny, don't say it's OK that other girls can look like this. Try to look better."

But Joan didn't stop there -- she then went on to accuse Lena of being a hypocrite because, for all that she promotes a "fat and happy" appearance, she appeared on the cover of Vogue Magazine with all of her cellulite and flaws airbrushed away. "She was on Vogue's cover looking gorgeous, you didn't even know it was her," she snarled.

Of course, this has caused an outcry amongst the Hollywood elite -- who, themselves, promote a "thin is in" message, so they need to take a whole church of seats with their moral outrage. Bonnie Fuller's Hollywood Life is reporting that Joan's comments were "fat shaming" Lena. Even Howard Stern defended Lena, saying that, while she may be fat, she's also funny. "I think the thing we love about her is that she doesn't give a sh*t... She did a whole episode in a bikini. It was the funniest f**king thing I ever saw," he said.

Who would have thought the day would come that Howard Stern would be the "nice" voice when it comes to a fat actress/model?
