The excitement over "Halo 5: Guardians" hasn't run out since the game has been released. In fact, the game has only gotten bigger since more and more players have gotten immersed in the fun. Riding the wave of success, 343 Industries will be letting loose more content that is designed to make the experience even better.

According to a report from Design & Trend, 343 Industries let a few details slip about the next DLC release in an official live stream recently. Watch the video below and get a peek of the special preview on the upcoming patch at the two-hour-and-two-minute mark.

The video clip at the end of the live stream was brief, but it teases the upcoming DLC that will be dropping next month. Forge Mode, which allows players to design their own maps, looks like its making a return in a Space setting. New weapons, weapon skins and armor are also included in the upcoming patch, as seen in the teaser.

The M41 SSR rocket launched, also known as the SPNKr to "Halo" players, will be making a comeback in "Halo 5: Guardians." The Spartan will get new armor with the new Mark IV helmet, which is a headgear that has already made an appearance in the franchise's extended fiction. Black and gold weapon skins will also be available for those who want to make their gear even more striking.

The "Halo 5: Guardians" first update dropped last week, dubbed "The Battle of Shadow and Light Content Update." According to an official release at the game's website, the last patch packed in a boatload of content including new armors, helmets, weapon skins, weapon and vehicle variants, a new visor and assassination, and new emblems.

Most significantly, the new "Halo" installment's first update brought back the acclaimed Big Team Battle Mode online plus new maps for both matchmaking and custom games in this mode.

All the new content will likely boost the "Halo" franchise even further, although the newest installment has been doing well since its initial launch.

According to a report from Eurogamer, the microtransactions from "Halo 5: Guardians" REQ Packs have been doing well as evidenced by the "Halo World Championship" prize pool that has swelled to a whopping $1.7 million.

The prize pool consists of Microsoft's share of $1 million, plus a portion of the earnings from microtransactions. While the company did not reveal what percentage of the total sales makes it to the prize, it's safe to assume they've made a lot more than the $700,000 that was allotted for the championship reward.
