According to Dr. John Bradford, a forensic psychiatrist who testified at Jared Fogle's child sex trial, the disgraced Subway pitchman spent at least $12,000 every year on prostitutes.

Bradford described Fogle’s pedophilia in court as “mild,” and said that the accused suffered from "hypersexuality."

Speaking to People, the University of Ottawa professor attested once again to Fogle’s hypersexuality, his compulsive nature, and his attraction to young girls.

"One of his problems was that he had an increased sex drive," Bradford said. "The second problem was he had some problems with attractions to teenaged girls and also to young girls."

The psychiatrist evaluated Fogle three months before he was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in federal prison for charges related to sex with minors, as well as possession of child pornography.

Bradford maintained that Fogle’s hypersexuality kicked in after his massive weight loss, which he famously attributed to eating Subway sandwiches.

An Independent article regarding the subject of sex addiction indicated that men who suffer from hypersexuality universally have issues with anxiety and depression, as well as fears of social rejection.

Bradford’s evaluation of Fogle included six hours of interviews and a test that gauged his genital response to various stimuli.

"When I tested him in my laboratory he did show some sexual interest in prepubertal children so that would be 13 years of age or less," said Bradford, who added that there was no evidence he ever actually had contact with a child.

“It is fantasies as opposed to direct sexual contact," he added. Bradford went on to explain that Fogle did not have the kind of history that would indicate any pedophilic tendencies. He also attributed Fogle’s increased libido to his massive weight loss.

"He went from 450 pounds down to around 200 over about one year,” Bradford said. “Up until that point his sex drive was very low and after that his sex drive increased quite dramatically."
