Netflix has already debuted two Marvel TV series and the third one, "Luke Cage," is on the way. The series just added a character that will also tie it in with the other two shows and bring the Marvel/Netflix TV Universe together.

According to Deadline, "Luke Cage" has added Sonia Braga to the cast to portray the mother of Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), who also plays a role in the previous two shows on the streaming platform.

Braga will play Soledad Temple on the new show but there have been no reports of her appearing in any future seasons of "Daredevil" or "Jessica Jones," at least no reports as of yet.

The Marvel Universe on Netflix has been an instant hit for the streaming network and has even outpaced its earlier original and fan favorite "House of Cards" in terms of star ratings.

According to the IMDb, Braga is perhaps most well known for the movie "Kiss of the Spiderwoman" in the '80s and has appeared in several other films and TV shows throughout her diverse career in Hollywood. Her other notable roles includes "Angel Eyes," "The Rookie" and an appearance on "Law and Order."

"Luke Cage" will be headlined by Mike Colter, who will portray the title character. Colter is perhaps most well known for his roles in "American Horror Story: Coven" and "Zero Dark Thirty."

Fans may already know that the series is based off the comic book that debuted the character in 1972. Cage is also frequently featured in "Jessica Jones" as a potential love interest for that title character as well, played by Krysten Ritter.

Marvel announced the casting of Braga via their Twitter account and gave fans the news of who her character is and what she will mean to the show as well as the expanded Marvel Universe on Netflix.
