"Fallout 4" gamers are now complaining about a bug that completely changes how the wasteland wanderer perceives the environment.

Disgruntled gamers took to GameFAQs to report about the latest in-game flaw known as the blurry-vision or near-sighted bug. It is still unclear where the glitch comes from or what exactly triggers it. However, one thing is certain, it makes progressing through the game extremely difficult. Objects in near proximity appear normal, but anything in the distance becomes unrecognizably blurred.

The bug makes it seem as though the sole survivor is reeling from a critical blow to the head. Only this time, the dizziness is permanent. Other gamers are also reporting that their vision has exclusively turned black-and-white, also an effect of taking a severe hit.

While many have complained about the blurry-vision bug, an immediate fix has yet to be found. Owen Good of Polygon has since tried the following solutions, but to no avail:

  • Resting in a bed I owned.
  • Treating myself with RadAway and Stimpaks.
  • Changing my attire.
  • Saving and reloading the file.
  • Developing an addiction, radiation poisoning, or injuring myself to then visit Dr. Sun for treatment in Diamond City

For those currently experiencing the blurry-vision bug, it looks like the only way to reverse it is by going back to an older saved file and start over from there.

Some inflicted gamers have learned that visiting Dr. Sun to heal radiation poisoning has no effect, but he responds to players after treatment as if they are cured. This implies the latest in-game flaw isn't caused by the NPC. However, the NPC's programming can't detect if players are experiencing the bug.

This isn't the first time gamers have encountered a major "Fallout 4" bug as Game Rant reported two weeks ago that one quest line completely crashes the game.

Sadly, these bugs seem to be present in all platform versions of the game. Per Steam, Bethesda's next "Fallout 4" patch is still in beta for PC. In the meantime, all gamers can do is to maintain a chunk load of save files as contingency plans for future issues.

As for the game itself, IGN gave it a score of 9.5 out of 10.

"The world, exploration, crafting, atmosphere, and story of Fallout 4 are all key parts of this hugely successful sandbox role-playing game," said game junkie Dan Stapleton. "Great new reasons to obsessively gather and hoard relics of happier times, strong companions, and sympathetic villains driving tough decisions make it an adventure I'll definitely replay and revisit. Even the technical shakiness that crops up here and there can't even begin to slow down its momentum."

"Fallout 4" is now available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
