Famous "Thor" star Chris Hemsworth was recently praised by his brother and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" star Liam Hemsworth for finally settling their father's debts. In an interview, Liam revealed his brother's recent deed towards their family.

The Australian-born actors Chris and Liam have always been known in the movie industry to have a heart of gold as the two continue to engage in charitable activities. However, Chris' recent donation was for their family, his brother Liam reveals.

In an interview with the Independent for his film with Kate Winslet titled "The Dressmaker," Liam can't help but praise his brother Chris for giving one of the best gifts he could ever give to their father.

Liam recalled how Chris surprised their father and asked him to look at his bank account, only to find out that Chris was able to pay off all of their father's debts.

"He [his father] called my brother Chris back and said: 'I don't know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I'd be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared.' They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us, I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that," Liam told the Independent.

It seems like a good gesture, especially since Chris has already earned a lot from his busy days in Hollywood. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Chris is standing on a $60 million net worth. Liam himself has already acquired a $16 million net worth.

And even though the two Hemsworth brothers have acquired a great amount of success, both never failed to give back. Liam and Chris act as the ambassadors of the Australian Childhood Foundation, the Huffington Post reports.

"If you want to be a good person who adds to society, you have responsibility. That is something I take very seriously," Liam said of his involvement with charitable organizations, per the Independent.

The Australian Childhood Foundation, according to the organization's official website, aims to help children heal from abuse and neglect as well as to empower communities to safeguard children.

"To many, he is known for his roles in movies such as Thor, The Avengers, Snow White and the Huntsman and Red Dawn, but to us at the Australian Childhood Foundation, Chris Hemsworth's most appreciated role is that of committed and proud patron," the organization described Chris.
