It seems like the mayhem that erupts between Black Friday shoppers has become a new annual American tradition.

Each year, thousands of bargain hunters wait for hours in lines for retail stores to open their doors -- sometimes as early as 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening -- so that they can begin Christmas shopping. However, the Black Friday shopping experience tends to lead to chaos and fights in different stores across the country. And this year was no exception.

One YouTube video captured a woman snatching a vegetable steamer out of the hand of a little boy and then shoving the child's mother in Saginaw, Michigan. Although the boy's mother was holding two streamer boxes in her arms, that did not stop her from wrestling with the woman to get her box back.

"Why are you being so aggressive -- you're scaring me!" screams the woman.

In another video, a man named Adolfo E. Arzaga captured a chaotic scene at a Wal-Mart in El Paso, Texas where a crowd of shoppers scuffled over discounted flat-screen TVs.

Meanwhile, a college student in Springfield, Virginia, said he was attacked while he was waiting in line at a Best Buy by a woman who tried to save a spot at the front of the line by leaving a chair there. The student said he then confronted the woman when she tried to reclaim her spot hours later.

"She was angry, and I was telling her, 'No, you're not getting in the front of the line. I've been here since 12 [p.m.],'" Ahmad Shukrey told Fox 5. "And she proceeds to attack me with the chair, pushing into my friend, knocking me over and twisting my ankle."'

Another witness named Steven Boone told the news outlet that the woman "refused to calm down" and was eventually arrested.

There was another incident in which two men began fighting in front of a large circle of onlookers in a mall food court in Louisville on Thanksgiving. Some of the spectators began shouting "World Star," a reference to a hip-hop website that aggregates fight videos into monthly compilations, in amusement.

Things also got hectic when a brawl broke out in a Victoria Secret's store between young women. One of the bystanders can be heard chanting "World Star" while watching the fight.
