Vin Diesel wants Helen Mirren to be in the next "Fast and Furious" film.

In a recent interview with MTV Diesel spoke about franchises and the upcoming "Furious 8" film. The actor said that he loves franchises and would love to see the Oscar-winning actress, Mirren, in the next installment of the long running "Fast and Furious" series.

"They've gotta get in line behind Helen Mirren. She is on the list. Be careful what you wish for, Helen," he said.

Diesel's comments are not the first time Mirren's name comes afloat. After all, it was Mirren who was adamant about wanting to be in a "Furious" film and being a mad driver. Mirren, who won an Oscar for "The Queen," is no newbie to action as she was recently in the "Red" franchise and was one of the standouts in the film. She was also in the "Prime Suspect" series which showed off her detective skills. Mirren was also in "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," which was another action film.

It was recently announced that Universal was planning on spinning off the "Fast and Furious" series especially since the last two films have been box office hits and critics have been very receptive to the franchise. However, it is unknown whether or not it will continue the storyline with the lead characters or introduce new ones. After all when Universal tried to do that with "Tokyo Drift," back in 2006 the film flopped and was a critical disaster.

It will also be interesting to see how fans respond to the upcoming films especially with the absence of the late Paul Walker, who was one of the most beloved characters in the series.

"Furious 8" is expected to open on April 14, 2017 and will likely star Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris andTyrese Gibson. It will be directed by F. Gary Gray.
