Things will get heated between Klaus and his ex-girlfriend Aurora when she forces him to play more mind games in order to save Cami's life in the next episode of "The Originals."

In the next episode, which is entitled "The Other Girl in New Orleans," Aurora will continue to hold Cami hostage and force Klaus to follow her human scavenger hunt in order to save her life.

According to Carter Matt, the synopsis reads as follows:

"After learning that Cami's (Leah Pipes) life is in danger and Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) may be to blame, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is forced to engage in another one of her devious games and follows a series of clues she's left behind for him. Meanwhile, Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Freya (Riley Voelkel) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) take drastic measures against Tristan (guest star Oliver Auckland) when they discover he holds a valuable piece of information they need. Elsewhere, Aya (guest star Tracy Ifeachor) gives Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) an ultimatum that leaves him with a difficult decision to make, while tensions between Hayley and Jackson cause her to reevaluate her involvement in Mikaelson family matters."

A preview video shows that Aurora is using Cami as bait to get back at Klaus out of spite.

"She took Cami as leverage because I have her beloved brother," Klaus says in the promo. He then declares this will be "the last mistake she ever makes."

In the meantime, while Klaus is tracking down his ex, his brother Elijah pairs up with Freya and Hayley attempt to get "a valuable piece of information" from Tristan.

"Bon appétit," Elijah tells Hayley as he motions to Tristan, who is chained to a chair. Hayley is then seen taking a bite out of Tristan's neck.

Series star Joseph Morgan also teased that Klaus and Hayley will hit a rough patch in their relationship later in the season and that the only thing keeping their relationship together is the birth of their child.

"The director of the episode we're shooting now described Klaus and Hayley as being two people who really wouldn't be in each other's lives if it weren't for Hope," said Morgan, according to TVLine.

"It was something that happened once between them. They've had numerous arguments, which would have been enough to make them say goodbye, but they can't, because they're both responsible for this little girl. They're forced to make an uneasy peace, but their dynamic - like all of the dynamics on the show - is constantly in flux." Does that answer your question at all?

Season 3 Episode 8 of "The Originals" will premiere on The CW on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 9 p.m. ET.
