Things will heat up in the next episode of "The Good Wife" when Ruth (Margo Martindale) and Eli Good (Alan Cumming) catch wind of Alicia's (Julianna Margulies) potential romance with Jason (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

In a preview of Sunday's episode, which is entitled "Discovery," Eli is seen confronting both Alicia and Jason separately about their feelings for one another.

"She's getting close to you, isn't she?" Eli asks Jason using an accusatory tone. He then proceeds to warn Jason that even a rumor of Alicia having an affair could ruin Peter's (Chris Noth) presidential election campaign since the couple is under a heightened level of scrutiny.

"Her husband is running for president!" Eli tells him.

In another clip, Alicia admits that she is planning on sleeping with Jason.

"You're telling me that when I sleep with Jason, you'd rather me keep it private?" she asks Eli before giving him a sly grin.

CBS also released a sneak peek video that shows Ruth becoming suspicious about Alicia's flirtatious behavior towards Jason. Later on Ruth expresses her fears of Alicia and Jason having an affair to Eli and how that could potentially hurt both Peter's campaign and Alicia's rehabilitation.

During an interview with TV Guide, Jeffrey Dean Morgan said that although he does not know what the future holds for Jason and Alicia, he believes Jason is the type of person who would fight for what he thinks is right, especially when he feels passionately about it.

"The dance up until this point has been kind of interesting and there's some more interesting stuff coming up. That goes back to the fact there's an attraction between them definitely. I think he likes her and he's very intrigued by her," said the actor.

"I do think he's a stand-up guy. If he's having these strong feelings toward her and her toward him, I think he'll find a way to cross that line with Alicia," the actor said.

In the meantime, the synopsis also reveals Alicia and her partner Lucca (Cush Jumbo) will team up with Michael J. Fox's Louis Canning for a high-profile case involving racial discrimination.

"Alicia and Lucca join forces with Louis Canning (Michael J. Fox) to defend a website against an accusation of racial profiling. Also, Eli and Ruth worry about the nature of Alicia's relationship with Jason and how it could impact Peter's presidential campaign," it reads, according to Carter Matt.

Episode 8 of Season 8 of "The Good Wife," "Discovery," airs on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
