Erykah Badu threw shade at Iggy Azalea during the 2015 Soul Train Awards.

The 44-year-old singer-songwriter, who hosted the annual awards show, poked fun at the 25-year-old Australian female artist in her monologue, according to E! News. She also mentioned her own rapping abilities.

"As you know, I am the queen of neo soul and people say I have this common effect on rappers: that I make them change gods and wear crochet hats, shoulder pads," Badu said. "So they have banned me from all of the hip-hop awards with a sign saying 'Erykah Badu, leave our rappers alone.'"

As she continued her spiel, Badu pretended to call different artists to invite them to the awards ceremony, which excludes the rap genre and exclusively honors R&B music. Azalea was one of the artists who received one of Badu's harshest disses.

"Uh yes? Who is this? Iggy Azalea?" Badu said. "Yeah, hey. Oh, no, no, no, no, you can come, 'cause what you doin' is definitely not rap."

Since Badu's blatant insult, Azalea has yet to respond to the comment. However, one user on Twitter posted a meme of Azalea shaking her head as if the "Fancy" rapper had responsd directly to the diss.

Azalea has faced several critiques this year, especially after she made controversial comments on social media, which some perceived as homophobic and racist. She also had a falling out with rapper T.I., whom she previously worked with regularly. Despite ending their working relationship, T.I. still defends the female rapper.

"I ain't gonna make no excuses," T.I. said of Azalea to the hosts of New York's Hot 97 "Ebro in the Morning" in September. "In her defense, she had a lot thrown at her at one time. Any human being anywhere [is gonna] have a hard time adjusting."

Badu recently released her latest mixtape "But You Caint Use My Phone."

Azalea released her debut album, "The New Classic," in April 2014. Her second studio album, "Digital Distortion," will be released sometime in 2016.

The 2015 Soul Train Awards aired Sunday night and were taped on Friday, Nov. 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
