A new video has been released that specifically addresses both "Doctor Who" and "The Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson.

As if not to say to fans right out, it seems as though it was produced to specifically tease fans of the show that Jackson has directed an upcoming episode in the series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the video leaves no doubt that there is an episode coming up that fans may want to latch right on to. Although it never really came right out and said it, the video's comically dismissive style seemed to insinuate that Jackson has indeed directed an episode for the series.

The famed director of sci-fi fantasy films appeared on the video with his daughter, both sitting at a table. Jackson was comically polishing his Oscar awards while his daughter seemed to be managing his e-mail account from a laptop computer.

They had a conversation that some might find to be typical of such a Hollywood heavyweight, but with a little added humility to the situation. Jackson instructed his daughter to dismiss an e-mail from Steven Moffat ("Doctor Who" showrunner). This is play on the media report that Moffat said that Jackson has mentioned wanting to direct an episode but never returns his e-mails.

The video then featured a cameo from "Doctor Who's" titular actor, Peter Capaldi. He arrives inconspicuously, also in character. He delivers a mail item and says that he needs him to sign in it right then and there so he can leave with the document.

Jackson tried to play like he did not know who he was and even told his daughter what to do if Capaldi starts acting crazy.

As if the video needed any more humor, Jackson then hyped his daughter up about a TV show that's about to come on and they walked away, excited to see "The Walking Dead."
