The official website of the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine launched a teaser that features the logo and character silhouettes of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga. It also has a countdown timer and the words "Next Generation" on it.

The countdown will end at exactly 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, which is the first day of the Jump Festa convention where a Naruto stage event is scheduled to take place starting at 3 p.m., per Anime News Network. Kishimoto decided to end the Naruto series last Nov. 10, 2014, after 15 years of successful publication.

In its 15 years, Naruto has created multiple properties that included two anime series, movies, music, video games, novels, trading card game, art and guide books, figurine, and toys. A one-volume sequel and Naruto spin-off were released by Kishimoto last April 27 entitled "Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring Month."

The story was set 15 years after the last Naruto chapter that focuses on Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha's daughter, Sarada, and her journey to know the legitimacy of her father and mother's bond. It served as a prequel for the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" that was released last July.

Kishimoto also worked on the movie's script and character designs while serving as the chief production supervisor. Boruto is the son of Hinata and Naruto, who completely rejects his father that is now the seventh Hokage and is respected by the entire ninja world as a hero.

In a report by iDigitalTimes, a short Kakashi and Shikamaru manga novels have already been released in Japan while other novels that will feature the Akatsuki, Gaara and Konohamaru are scheduled to be released later this year.

Kishimoto was present during the screening of "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" and was asked if he will continue to make Naruto films. He responded saying that he won't be making any anytime soon to have his rest. "I can't. Please let me rest now. During this time, I finally went on my honeymoon even though my son has grown as big as Boruto," he added.

He told Entertainment Weekly that he was first planning a trip to Hawaii and spent some time with his wife and kids. However, in an interview with a Japanese Magazine via Kotaku last August, Kishimoto also revealed that he was already thinking of his next manga project that is a science fiction.

"I'm thinking I'm going to do science-fiction. It hasn't all been worked out, and I haven't showed my editor yet, but I've already designed the characters," the Okayama-native said.
