The world has barely recovered from Zayn Malik leaving One Direction and the band's upcoming hiatus. Now there's another boy band heartthrob hinting at an exit: Calum Hood of 5 Seconds of Summer. So, is another heartbreak imminent or is this merely a false alarm?

According to a report from Hollywood Life, the famous bassist sent the 5 Seconds of Summer fanbase into a frenzy when he posted a cryptic message on Twitter that hints at a possible exit from the boy band that's currently slaying the charts.

"One day I will leave and live a normal life," Hood's tweet read. While the nineteen-year-old star quickly deleted the tweet from his Twitter account, it's not before plenty of his followers already saw it and assumed the worst. After all, Malik's initial statement as he broke away from One Direction focused heavily on his desire to be "normal" and enjoy time out of the spotlight, according to a previous report from Hollywood Life.

The dedicated fans of the famous group were quick to show their love online for Hood and his 5 Seconds of Summer bandmates. The topic "#WeLoveCalum" instantly trended on Twitter, with plenty of people sharing stories and photos of Hood on their accounts and tagging the bassist.

For his part, Hood assured the fanbase that he's happy at the moment with a follow-up tweet that was intended to calm down those who are worrying about another band breaking up. A report from Sugarscape revealed that the 5 Seconds of Summer member posted a meme of a happy goat on his account and wrote a simple caption saying, "Me."

While the initial tweet might just be a sign of exhaustion in the midst of the band's whirlmind promotions, it's not the first time Hood expressed some difficulties with the hours of tour and global fame. According to a separate report from Sugarscape last October, the Aussie star revealed that life on the road isn't always a blast for him and bandmate Michael Clifford.

"Ashton and Luke really like travelling," Hood told Teen Vogue during an interview. "But Michael's always pretty happy at home. We're all away so much that sometimes just being in one place for a while is the best thing. I think we're going to get to go to Asia and South America on tour next summer though, which will be really cool."

Do you think there's some truth in Hood's hints at leaving the band?
