Bungie has announced that an all-new update for "Destiny" will roll out first thing next week. Patch 2.1.0 brings changes to Titan classes as well as adjustments to several weapon types.

"Our current plan is to deploy the latest packages to you as soon as next week," said Bungie on its latest Weekly Update post. "The thing about plans is that they can change, so the exact day is up to the smart people who get to push the big red button."

Bungie also took the opportunity to heighten expectation for the December update. It said there will be changes to Sunbreakers, Strikers and Defenders.

"About those Titans... Ever since their Solar brothers and sisters entered the explosive mix of Destiny with the arrival of The Taken King, they've been quite the hot topic of conversation," the Washington gaming studio explained. "While we're making some adjustments to Sunbreakers in Update 2.1.0, we won't be leaving Strikers and Defenders out in the cold this winter."

This weekend, Bungie will share a preview of the changelogs. The article will be drafted by senior design chief Sage Merrill. It has been reported in the past that Patch 2.1.0 will rebalance various weapons while also adding new Exotics.

According to GameSpot, base damages of Auto and Fusion rifles will be beefed up, but the opposite can be said of Pulse rifles. The accuracy of hand cannons will be increased as well, but only when aiming down on targets. Lastly, shotguns will be hit with more quantities of nerf to instigate more close-quarter combat.

There will be two brand new Exotics exclusive to Year Two. The rest are simply upgraded versions of weapons and armors from Year One.

Bungie also announced that Patch 2.1.0 will make changes to items in the Eververse microtransaction store. Players who are eyeing certain items that are currently on offer are highly advised to buy it before the update arrives.

"The December Update will refresh the inventory available from Tess," said the gaming studio. "She'll put the stuff you see now in some bags you can still acquire with some Silver, but their contents will be less direct and predictable."

"Destiny" is the latest franchise from Bungie which the studio hopes would be a worthy successor to "Halo." It's a first-person shooting game with open-world elements where humans are pitted against alien life forms hell-bent on ridding them out of existence.

"It borrows from many well-established gaming destinations, but the climate of each is wildly different, and often incompatible," said Vince Ingenito of IGN. "It's a complex production that boils down simply to this: Destiny is a mechanically excellent, visually evocative FPS housed within an under-developed RPG framework."
