In an unsuccessful attempt to enter the United States from Mexico, a seven-year-old Venezuelan girl drowned in the Rio Grande after a rip current separated her from her mother.
Tallahassee Police Department on Wednesday identified the victim, whose body was found in a Baker Landfill Saturday, as Jorge Diaz-Johnston, the brother of former Miami mayor and Florida Democratic Party Chairman, Manny Diaz.
