The new HBO teaser trailer for Season 6 of "Game of Thrones" seemingly raises as many questions as it answers.

The one on most every fan's lip seems is Jon Snow really dead or not?

CNN reports in the just released trailer, the Three-Eyed Raven character played by Max von Sydow can be heard uttering, "We watch, we listen and we remember. The past is already written. The ink is dry."

What comes next are an assortment of drama-filled flashbacks, chief among them the now famous scene of the purported death of the Snow character starring Kit Harrington.

Right about then, another flashback comes to the screen, this one with Snow's half-brother Bran Stark appearing to go into a trance as he devilishly reflects, "They have no idea what's going to happen."

The HBO-aired series is easily one of the network's most popular. The end of Season 5 was filled with all the drama and death that marked of the entire season. Stannis Baratheon, Selyse, Meryn Trant and Myrcella were killed off in the finale.

As for Snow, CarterMatt reports he died at the hands of Night Watch members after being repeatedly stabbed.

The death of Myrcella was almost just as shocking. It was provoked by Ellaria Sand's frantic desire to extact revenge for what previously happened to Oberyn. Her demise only figures to make things worse for the entire family in Dorne, already handicapped by a rather thin and less than imposing troop of armed forces.

The demise of Baratheon came about after his army at least partly deserted him. In the end, his death came at the hands of Brienne, who was crazily seeking revenge for what happened to Renly.

The series is also featured prominently in a tweet from the network on what to watch on HBO in 2016.
