Good news "Rocket League" fans, the game is now heading to Xbox One. The popular video game of derby and soccer became an overnight sensation when it was launched on PC and PlayStation 4, leaving Xbox One players left out. This time, it was recently announced that the Xbox One will receive "Rocket League" on their console, but with a catch.

Apparently, "Rocket League" fans will not totally get what they want as Microsoft recently announced that the game will not feature the cross-platform play. Polygon announced on their Twitter account a confirmation of what has already been rumored, saying, "Rocket League on Xbox won't support cross-platform play."

This means that players will have to face each other within their brand of platforms. Developer Psyonix' explained that the "Xbox Platform does not allow for cross-play." GameRant, on the other hand, believes that the absence of cross-play on "Rocket League" may not be long as patches can be updated every now and then.

The possibility of Microsoft not allowing its developers to fully include the feature may be one of the reasons why Psyonix opted not to feature it on the game. Apparently, the game is losing some revenue because of its limited play.

Geek reports that "Rocket League" will come in three content packs, mainly the Supersonic Fury, Chaos Run and Revenge of the Battle-Cars. Other interesting features include 50 garage customization items, extra battle cars and the DeLorean time machine. Xbox fans will also be able to enjoy exclusive cars namely Halo and Armadillo.

Currently, "Rocket League" has received at least 10 updates since it was launched, and Psyonix has vowed to continue developing content for the game. The Xbox version of "Rocket League" will also receive some DLC packs as the game progresses. The game currently features extensive battle car customization with more than 10 billion possible combinations, unlockable items and vehicles, stat tracking and leaderboard as well as an eight-player online action race with options for different team sizes and configurations.
