A new featurette to "Elena of Avalor" has been released" featuring some of the stars of the new TV series.

The new feature introduces audiences to the music of the show and introduces audiences to lead actress Aimee Carrero. The feature also introduces songwriter John Kavanugh who talks about the music and the fact that he tried to emulate Latino rhythms and styles for the series.

Gaby Moreno, the Guatemalan American, singer also makes an appearance in the featurette and she talks about the main theme for the series. Moreno performs the title song and she said the song tells Elena's story and who she is as a character.

Disney is trying to promote the series to Latino audiences and as a result the feature also includes Spanish subtitles.

"Elena of Avalor" is a historic show as it features the first Latina princess from Disney. It follows Disney's first black princess in the movie "The Princess and the Frog" and Asian princess in the movie "Mulan." While Elena will be featured in a TV series, the studio is heavily promoting the show and hopes it will not only resonate with Latinos but also with all types of audiences.

"Elena of Avalor" tells the story of Elena who is the new ruler of Avalor. In the show she will have to conquer evil witches and sorcerers to save her kingdom and she will also have to defeat bad mortals too.

The show also stars Jorge Diaz, Lou Diamond Phillips, Justina Machado, Jaime Camil, Jenna Ortega and Joe Nunez. The first season features 19 episodes and airs at 5pm on Fridays.
