Fans of Monty Python are still preparing excitedly for the first show by the group since they parted ways 34 years ago. The Monty Python comedy group, consisting of the five surviving members John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin, and Terry Jones, are going to have a series of summer reunion performances this year. This event will take place at the O2 Arena in London.

Some, however, are feeling upset and left out because tickets for the live event have proven difficult to obtain and are restricted to only one venue for only a small number of nights. The original offering was for five nights, but have since been extended to 10 nights in response to incredibly fast sales; the first night sold out in less than a minute. This should not dishearten fans, though, as the final performance of this famous group's reunion will be concurrently shown in the U.K. in over 450 cinemas and in 1,500 sites all over the world. This summer live performance is scheduled to take place on the following dates in July: 1 to 5 and 15 to 20.

The Monty Python crew originally had six members, but Graham Chapman died in 1989 of cancer.

Monty Python's Flying Circus was an English sketch comedy show first shown in 1969 on the BBC that ran a total of 45 episodes across 4 series. The group also had stage shows and movies including the cult hit "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." Each member of the group was launched individually to comedic fame even after the group separated. Monty Python's influence on comedy has been likened to the influence on music of the Beatles.
