"Rick and Morty" season 3 will resume summer 2017. This great news was announced by Adult Swim via Facebook along with a teaser video of the series. The announcement was made during a commercial break of season 3 episode 1 "Rickshank Redemption" which aired on April 1.

Fans were caught by surprise as "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode 1 aired April Fool's day. Most that saw the episode thought that it might be a joke since creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmond were still unsure of the season's air date. But after watching the first episode, fans are now asking for more.

New trailers and teasers were also released very recently also confirming "Rick and Morty" season 3, TV Over Mind reported. Promos consisted of Claymation videos, gaming videos, papier Mache videos and puppet videos to name a few and were all less than four minutes long. One particular video teased Rick and Morty revisiting Buttworld while another video revealed the return of Mr. Poopy Butthole.

Roiland and Harmond also announced that they are going to bring back some of the series' much loved characters like Squanch and Birdperson; Den of Geek posted a teaser video about Gear Head who was also one of the recurring characters of the show. Birdperson's return was seen during the final scenes of "Rickshank Redemption" where he was being revived by his wife Tammy. Birdperson was shot and killed during his wedding reception after he revealed to Beth why he stands by Rick's side. The "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode 1 ending showed that he will be reborn as Birdphoenix.

"Rick and Morty" season 3 episode 2 will be titled "Rickmancing The Stone." This will air summer 2017 on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. Season 1 and 2 episodes are also available for binge watching on AdultSwim.com and on Hulu.
