Mexican authorities from Probosque and Conafor reported that more forest fires are to be expected in the following days, weeks, and months.

It is said that there were also three orders that were given by the government and that each state will work on the 50 forest fire cases in addition to helping the 1,743 National Forestry Commission of Mexico firefighters.

The CONAGUA, The National Water Commission in Mexico also added a report that abnormal dry conditions were found in the Yucatan Peninsula which are mainly to be found in the Quintana Roo and Yucatan. The abnormal dry conditions were a great risk factor for the forest fires that are going to happen in the year 2020.

The Municipalities in the Quintana Roo mainly in the Central and Southern part: Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Jose Maria Morelos, Bacalar, and Othon P. Blanco were one of the greatest concerns because of the underlying conditions of the drought monitor last month according to reports.

General Director of the Coordination of Peasant Forestry Organizations of Quintana Roo Cristóbal Uc Medina stated that there is a risk of four million four hundred fifty five thousand hectares of the forest in Mexico and the three million seven hundred seventy three hectares belonged to the forest area. Rainfall was also not accounted for that much for the past months and drought is mostly observed which is caused by the forest fire that is now occurring. The cold temperature dries up the vegetation which becomes a risk factor that will greatly fuel the forest fire.

Methods are now applied to fight the occurring incidents. What just makes the situation complicated is that the CONAFOR have now disbanded and now it is still unknown on how to fight the incoming forest fires.
