Chris Brown's new album is set to drop on Sept. 16, and he will be promoting it on two TV shows.

The singer will be the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live!" and he will also perform on "Dancing With the Stars," notes HollywoodLife.com.

"In support and promotion for 'X,' Chris will be doing the typical promotional slate to get the word out that the album is coming and that will include appearances and performances on both 'SNL' and 'DWTS,'" a source said. "Everyone is very excited for this to happen and Chris really wants to make the appearances very memorable. Should be a very fun time."

The date of his performances have not been released, but given the timing of the premiere of "Dancing With the Stars" and the release of his album, he might make an appearance on the first episode of the season, which is on Sept. 15.

The sketch comedy show does not return until Sept. 27.

Brown was recently interviewed by Billboard, and he spoke about how going to jail has changed him.

"A guard wakes you up; you eat," he said. "You stay in your cell most of the time, basically 24 hours a day. Maybe on Mondays you go to the roof inside of a cage and have a phone call. It's isolation. You have time to focus on what matters, on what to do and what not to do."

He also said that he understood why he and Rihanna would always be tied to one another, but that as long as he was doing the right things, it wouldn't matter what people were saying.

In the first week of September, Chris Brown pled guilty to simple assault for an October 2013 fight.
