Derek Jeter now holds yet another record: The best-selling baseball jersey of all time.

Majestic Athletic president Jim Pisani, whose company started making authentic baseball jerseys for all MLB teams since 2005, told ESPN that Jeter's No. 2 jersey has been on top of sales over the past decade, which was enough for it to become the top-selling baseball uniform in history.

"Derek just resonates with all demographics, all across the country," Pisani said. "He's really the only jersey that you consistently see at opposing ballparks, which is why he has been at the top for the last decade."

Pisani also revealed that their company has created around 100 graphics for several Jeter products this season, while New Era, the creator of the league's official baseball caps, has made more than 200 products related to the superstar shortstop, making him the most merchandised athlete in a single season.

"As soon as he announced this was going to be his final season, we could see the market was hungry for it," New Era president Pete Augustine said. "We've never seen this much interest from a player perspective, and I'm not sure we ever will."

Fanatics, considered as the largest online retailer of authentic sports merchandise, also revealed that sales of Jeter-related products have ballooned to 1,000 percent from last year. The company also revealed that Jeter products were bought by fans from more than 30 countries and in all 50 states in the United States.

Jeter will play in his final home game at Yankee Stadium on Thursday. And according to Forbes, the Yankees' game against the Baltimore Orioles could become the most expensive regular season game in MLB history.

"While Derek's Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium Thursday night likely won't have any impact on the 2014 baseball season, it will be the most expensive regular season game over the last four years, and more expensive than all but a handful of post-season games," Forbes reported. "It may also be the most expensive regular season game ever."
