Miley Cyrus has reportedly been staying single, in hopes of reuniting with ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth.

It has been over a year since the celebrity couple broke off their engagement; Celeb Dirty Laundry recently reported that the twerking pop star is "still mourning her split" from the "Hunger Games" actor.

Sources told the publication that Cyrus is "determined to win Liam back, no matter the cost" - in other words, "She's been single because she's wanted to be single. And she's been single because she thinks that Liam Hemsworth might actually start dating her again."

Meanwhile, the Australian actor recently commented on his current relationship status with the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker in an interview with Nylon Guys for the November issue. "There's not much to say; there's no bad blood there," he simply stated.

Then, does Miley Cyrus stand a chance to get back with Liam Hemsworth? In Touch reported last month that the pair secretly hung out at the "Bangerz" singer's Los Angeles home in late August.

By the end of their meet-up, both of them apparently admitted to still having feelings for one another. "The passion was still there. They've really missed each other," a source revealed. "He told Miley that they need to find some common ground before he can ever take her back."

According to the source, Hemsworth does not really like Cyrus' wild image and controversial onstage antics. "Liam's a traditional guy who wants a wife and family someday," the source added. "He needs Miley to prove that she's marriage material before he can open his heart again."

However, according to E! News, the pair's speculated reunion is not a possibility. "They are not likely to reconcile," an insider claimed. "They have moved on but are still friends. They still care about each other but it's not romantic."
