Alan and Walden will get one step closer to adopting a child in the next all-new episode of "Two and a Half Men" on Thursday.

In the upcoming episode, which is titled "Thirty-Eight, Sixty-Two, Thirty-Eight," the roommates will meet a mother-to-be who is looking for suitable parents to adopt her unborn child, reports TV Guide.

Last week, the guys managed to convince a social worker, played by actress Maggie Lawson, that they are a loving couple that would make great parents. They also fabricated stories about the first time that they individually realized that they were gay.

However, they ran into a few obstacles as Lyndsey almost derailed their chance at adoption. After getting out of rehab, she wanted to make amends with Alan and rekindle their old flame even though she knew that he and Walden were legally married. Still, she popped up at their home while the social worker was paying them a visit.

In order to prevent Lyndsey from spoiling their meeting with the social worker, Alan and Walden threw her over the balcony, notes The Hollywood Gossip.

The guys also recieved a stern warning from Mrs. McMartin who told them that they will not receive clearance to adopt if something crazy happens. Shortly thereafter, a drunk Lyndsey popped up behind her and told her that she wanted to help.

In response, Alan yelled that, "Charlie Sheen doesn't live here anymore!" while dismissing her as a tourist looking for the infamous actor.

Lawson will also return in the Thursday's episode, according to Carter Matt.

According to AceShowBiz, the synopsis states that: "Walden and Alan meet a birth mother who's considering them to adopt her baby."

Season 12 Episode 3 of "Two and a Half Men," " Thirty-Eight, Sixty-Two, Thirty-Eight," airs on Thursday, Nov. 13 on CBS.
