With Batman v Superman set for release in 2016 and not so much as a teaser (though one was supposedly leaked online last week, then promptly disappeared,) speculation has been rampant surrounding the plot, characters, and expectations for the new superhero crossover movie from DC comics.

The movie was already put up against harsh criticism when it was announced that Ben Affleck had been cast as the new Batman opposite Henry Cavill's Superman. It seems comic book and superhero fans remain scarred from Ben Affleck's entry as Dare Devil in 2003. With the film over a year out, lets take a look at what we know so far.

The ill-fated television show Constantine starring Matt Ryan was not renewed for even a second season, but comicbook.com is reporting based on an interview with The Mirror that show star Matt Ryan is dreaming of a possible cameo or cross over with the new Batman v Superman film.

When asked by The Mirror about a possible crossover Ryan responded "I'm not sure. The show's made by Warner Bros., which has the deal with DC, and it's licensed to NBC, so I don't know how the ins and outs of that work. But as an actor, how amazing would that be to do a crossover?" If Matt Ryan can dream, we can as well.

There are also reports currently that Lois Lane portrayed by Amy Adams will play a bigger part in the upcoming film than originally thought. In a recent interview with MovieFone Adams commented on scenes with Affleck. He [Ben Affleck] looks fantastic. And the work that I did with him, I think it's going to be great," she said. This tells us that she will be sharing screen time with both of the male leads, implying a fairly involved character.
