Multifaceted superstar Jennifer Lopez has wowed audiences at the American Music Awards with her high-energy tribute to the iconic "Queen of Salsa," Celia Cruz in 2013 -- now she's paying homage to the beloved Tejano singer, Selena Quintanilla (whom she captured on the big screen in 1997) at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

According to reports, on Thursday, Telemundo confirmed the exciting news that the Puerto Rican powerhouse will be performing a live musical tribute to Quintanilla at the Billboard Latin Music Awards April 30 on Al Rojo Vivo. Then it confirmed the news via Twitter.

On April 16, in a tweet, @telemundo wrote, "¡CONFIRMADO! @JLo rendirá tributo a @SelenaLaLeyenda EN VIVO en los #Billboards2015 este 30 abril por #Telemundo"

"It's an honor, a great honor to be able to, 20 years after her death, to do a tribute for Selena," Lopez told Al Rojo Vivo. "She continues to be someone that inspires. It's something that excites me very much. And I want to do something special, very special -- just like she was -- in this tribute."

"The Grammy-winning singer was murdered at a Days Inn motel in Corpus Christi, Texas, on March 31, 1995," according to Entertainment Weekly. "Yolanda Saldívar, once head of her fan club, was convicted for the murder. Lopez's role in the 1997 biopic Selena, which covered the stars rise to fame and her death, is often considered her breakout role."

Other performers at The Billboard Latin Music Awards include Romeo Santos, Juanes, Natalia, EDM DJ Afrojack, Wisin, Daddy Yankee, Carlos Santana, J Balvin, Carlos Vives, Julion Alvarez y Su Norteño Banda, Ana Gabriel, Lucero, Alejandro Sanz and Roberto Carlos, among others.
