Ximena Sariñana, who is currently on tour with singer Juanes, discussed her current obsessions, love for food and El Dia de los Muertos.

The singer -- who gained critical success with her debut album, "Mediocre," in 2009 -- was invited to join Colombian rock star Juanes on his "Loco de Amor" tour and in between concerts took the time to divulge on her likes and dislikes with People En Español.

The 29-year-old songwriter explained how she loves experimenting and used food and choice of drinks as examples.

"I love straight drinks. A cold Bourbon with ice, a good Mezcal to dance and sometimes I'm just in the mood for a glass of wine," the singer said. "I would not say no to trying a typical dish somewhere. I love to eat and I am adventurous."

The Mexico-born star, who collaborated with American singer Jason Mraz on the Spanish version of his song "Lucky," named "Grizzly Bear" by Angus and Julia Stone as the song she is currently obsessed with.

Other obsessions of the "Sin ti no Puede Estar tan Mal" singer include Pinterest and going to the movies, which she notes is mainly because of the smell of popcorn.

Sariñana, who was one of the judges on the Mexican version of America's Got Talent and explains, described her love for El Dia de los Muertos in Mexico.

"I love the Day of the Dead in Mexico," the singer said. "It's near my birthday and cities are filled with marigolds and pan de muerto."

Although now highly recognized as a singer, Sariñana began her career as an actress with a role in popular telenovela "Luz Clarita" and has appeared in other roles since then. The star notes that to her being happy is not about being successful but about the small stuff in life. 

"Happiness lies in the details," she explained. "From having cup of coffee at the right time to the moment the sun hits you just when you need it.
