"Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is one of the most hotly anticipated movies coming out in 2016. Any news is big news, and the latest bit of information is rather revealing.

The recent trailer for the movie made some interesting revelations about the characters while creating new and engaging mysteries. One of the most prominent mysteries revolves around what character Wonder Woman is shown doing battle with. According to Heroic Hollywood, that is no longer a mystery. The website reveals that Doomsday is in fact her adversary.

Doomsday is renowned in the DC universe for being one of two villains to successfully kill Superman. In most adaptations he is immortal. Does this mean that Superman could come face to face with his own mortality in "Dawn of Justice."

Moreover, how will Doomsday arrive on earth, and what is his relationship with Lex Luthor, the film's primary antagonist?

Another major question that surfaced after the trailer was whether or not the Joker would be making an appearance in the new film. Everyone knows that he will appear in "Suicide Squad," which takes place in the same universe. How much will the two films overlap?

There are a few images in the trailer of Bruce Wayne seeing messages spray painted on a uniform and on a newspaper. The first message reads, "Haha Joke's on you Batman." The latter, painted in red, says, "You let your family die." If this is not the style of the Joker, then what is?

It is likely that the Joker, if he makes an appearance, will not be featured prominently. While studios have often made it a mission to cram as many villains as possible into major sequels (see "Spider-Man 3" and "The Amazing Spider-Man"), it is reasonable to imagine that Warner Bros. will save such a big villain for further exploitation down the line. Moreover, he is set to appear in "Suicide Squad," so he would not be dispatched so quickly in a new Batman/Superman movie.

Of course it might be exciting to see Superman and Batman's greatest rivals in the same movie. Will the Joker play a major role? What will Doomsday's role be?
