The actress Angelique Boyer and actor Sebastian Rulli are reportedly set to star in the remake of the beloved telenovela "Lazos de Amor," to be produced by Angelli Nesma.

According People En Español, the Mexican actress has been named as the star chosen to play the lead roles of identical triplets made popular and all played by actress Lucero in the 1995 version of "Lazos de Amor."

"I too am still stuck on that version [the original version] but happy to be able to belong to the new production from Angelli [Nesma] in the very moment that she gets the green light to start production," Boyer said.

The popular telenovela follows the story of triplets who are in a tragic car accident that kills their parents. The accident leaves one of the triplets blind and causes another to have amnesia. The sisters eventually grow up separately and live their lives as adults very differently. However, a variety of events eventually lead to the reunion of the three sisters.

While little is known about the other cast members, Boyer, who recently enjoyed a family vacation with Rulli and his son on a Disney Cruise ship, as reported by TVnotas, shared she is ready to take on the challenge and get to work.

"There still isn't an answer," the actress said. "They are simply accommodating things in question within the telenovela, but I'm happy and ready to start working really hard when they tell me."

The actress may be joined by Rulli, whom she is currently dating, in the telenovela, reported Terra. This would be the second time that the actors appear as love interests on screen. The Argentinian actor and the 27-year-old actress previously both starred in "Lo que la vida me robó" together.

Production for the telenovela is reportedly set to begin in October or November and will premiere on television in 2016.
