Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie made a splash at the BAFTA Awards when they showed up on the red carpet in matching tuxedos... but did they have any reason to celebrate afterwards?

According to E! News, Brangelina walked the red carpet in honor of Brad's award-winning role in the hit film, 12 Years a Slave, which has also been nominated for several Oscars. While Brad's version of the three-piece suit was more tradition, Angelina chose an Yves Saint-Laurent "sexy" version of the three-piece suit. With this fashion statement, Brangelina joins the likes of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, as couples who coordinate their outfits when they set foot outside their door. Clever little trend!

Meanwhile, according to Variety, the film won Best Picture at the BAFTA Awards, suggesting a possible series of Oscar wins next month. Many of the actors and directors who were honored at the BAFTA Awards -- including Amy Adams, Harvey Weinstein, Steve McQueen, Michael Fassbender (whosename is still being circulated as being part and parcel of the latest "Star Wars" installment), and of course, Brangelina -- partied at the Grosvenor Hotel at an event put on by Entertainment One.

12 Years a Slave pulled in other awards from BAFTA, including Best Actor (for Chiwetel Ejiofor, who had formidable opponents in Matthew McConaghey and Leonardo DiCaprio).

Other winners from the night included Gravity (which pulled down 6 wins, including Outstanding British Film, & Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron), Blue Jasmine (whose main actress, Cate Blanchett, took home the Best Actress award), American Hustle (America's newest sweetheart, Jennifer Lawrence, took home the Best Supporting Actress win, beating out Julia Roberts, Sally Hawkins, and Lupita Nyong'o), and Captain Phillips (Barkhad Abdi took the Best Supporting Actor award).
