"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, has revealed that despite having shown a lot of skin in the HBO series, she actually does not like being nude on screen. The actress claimed being British has something to do with her preference to do fewer sex scenes.

Clarke is now reportedly asking for fewer nude scenes or sex scenes on television. The 28-year-old revealed to Daily Mail's Sebastian Shakespeare during a party in Mayfair that she can no longer handle many scenes where she has to disrobe in front of the camera.

"Sex scenes should be more subtle. I'm British, so I cringe at that sort of thing anyway - I can't stand it. I don't want to have sex thrown in my face and I've always thought the suggestion is so much more titillating than the act itself," she said.

It's believed Emilia has not done any topless scenes for "Game of Thrones" for the past two years. Her co-star Oona Chaplin reportedly revealed that the actress had specifically told the show's big bosses that she no longer wants to take part in nude scenes, since she wants to be known for her acting, and not for her breasts.

The actress also compared the sex scenes in "Game of Thrones" to other movies, wherein they have subtler sex scenes. "Most sex scenes you see in films or on TV are gratuitous and they're usually just to attract an audience. On screen, the subtler the better," Emilia said.

Her statements are in total contrast to what she told The Express in July about her nude scene in "Terminator: Genisys." In the movie, Clarke and Australian star Jai Courtney reportedly have to be totally naked and pressed to each other in order to travel through time inside a time machine. So disrobing for the British actress is nothing new.

"Naked in a harness was fun, doing stunts, that was good," she told The Express. However, despite being comfortable disrobing for the camera, the actress revealed she also had "some few things" she tried to hide.

Outside of her nude scene, Clarke was also able to showcase her skills in action. In "Game of Thrones" her role was not considered a fighter, but in "Terminator: Genisys" Clarke gets to try firing deadly explosives.

"I hadn't shot a grenade launcher before this movie. But it was very real and incredibly fun. Those blanks are louder than the real thing," Clarke told The Express.
