Singer Chiquis Rivera is up for two Latin American Music Awards and, in a recent interview, revealed how she feels about her nominations and attributed her success to her legendary mother, Jenni Rivera.

The singer, who is up for the award of Best New Artist and Female Artist of the Year, dished to Latin Times about her two nominations, which also include artists like J Balvin, Maluma, Paulina Rubio, Gloria Trevi, Natalia Jiménez and Fanny Lu.

"It's a blessing. I feel happy, I feel so many different emotions," Rivera said.

"Just to be considered or to be nominated, for me is already a big deal. I'm already a winner to be nominated with people I admire and artists I respect industry. It feels good to be representing my Mexican culture and I'm just really excited."

The Mexican-American singer revealed if she had to choose one of the two awards to take home it would be the Best New Artist Award. Rivera is the only female in that category and said she loves the idea of representing women in music, especially her mother.

"This would be my absolute first award since I launched my career," said the 30-year-old. "I would obviously dedicate it to my mom and God, because if it weren't for them, I wouldn't be here. I would definitely have to celebrate."

Before Rivera learns if she will be taking home a Latin American Music Award on Oct. 8, she will be hosting her first concert on Oct. 3.

The singer has been busy preparing for her show in Anaheim, California, as part of her 2015 "Aprovechame" tour, which she has been promoting on her Instagram account.

The singer also explained the concert won't feature an opening act, and she wants to give fans a show they will remember by offering a variety of music styles, including pop, acoustic and banda music.
