The first promotional trailer for the Ignacio Sada remake of popular Telenovela "Simplemente María" has been released.

The telenovela stars Claudia Álvarez as the protagonist María. The Mexican actress and model is known for her roles in "Pobre Diabla," "Mujeres asesinas 3" and "Hasta el fin del mundo," according to Latin Times.

"Simplemente María" follows the life of a poor, young woman who leaves her home to go to the big city to follow her dreams of becoming a fashion designer.

Joining Álvarez in the telenovela are actors José Ron, who recently appeared in "Muchacha italiana viene a casarse"; Ferdinando Valencia from "Que te perdone Dios... Yo No"; and Leticia Perdigón, who was also in "Hasta el fin del mundo." Other actors who will make appearances include Miguel Martinez, Erik Díaz and Ana Martín.

Recent speculation claimed that superstar Paulina Rubio would be making her return to telenovelas with a possible supporting role in "Simplemente María" and would also be performing the theme song, TVyNovelas reported.

However, according to Radio Fórmula, recent reports name singer Pablo Montero as the artist who will be taking on the official theme song of the telenovela.

Also recently revealed was actress Norma Lazareno's role in the telenovela. Lazareno, who has over 50 years of experience as an actress, revealed that she will be playing a guardian angel, Terra reported.

"I am going to play a beautiful role, 'Olivia,' who will give strength when María starts to have success as a fashion designer," said Lazareno, who also revealed that her character will be present for all 200 episodes of the telenovela.

The telenovela is set to premiere on Nov. 9 in Mexico. U.S. viewers will have to wait until 2016 to watch the telenovela's premiere on Univision.
