The English language channel for Latin American audiences, El Rey Network, has officially announced its plans to renew their flagship drama series "From Dusk Till Dawn" for Season 3.

According to Deadline, "From Dusk Till Dawn" is just about to air its Season 2 finale tonight, and ahead of its broadcast, the network has officially renewed the series to come back for its junior run on the growing cable station.

For fans of Robert Rodriguez's 1996 vampire film "From Dusk Till Dawn," you will not be surprised to learn that the series follows closely to the original film but has several varied differences.

The show essentially follows the Gecko brothers, which were originally played by actors George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. But the show features D.J. Cotrona (Seth) and Zane Holtz (Richie) in those roles.

Season one followed the brothers as they made their way across Texas into Mexico following a heist that could have lead to their permanent incarceration. They successfully got to Mexico, and when they arrived at the bar, which was supposed to be the rendezvous point for the men and their Mexican liaison, they encountered a clan of ancient vampires that were of a "snake-like" lineage.

The series stars Cotrona and Holtz, as well as Jesse Garcia, Eiza González, Wilmer Valderrama, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo, Jake Busey, Danny Trejo, Esai Morales, Jeff Fahey and Briana Evigan.

Pop music star Demi Lovato is also guest starring in the last two episodes for Season 2. It is unclear if she will be back in Season 3.

The 1996 film starred Clooney and Tarantino but also featured the outstanding acting talents of Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis, Salma Hayek, Danny Trejo, Tom Savini, Fred Williamson and Cheech Marin.
