Wednesday’s chance to win big money playing Powerball is here.

The grand prize is currently at $90 million, with a cash value of $55.1 million.

Last Saturday’s winning numbers were 37, 47, 50, 52, 57 and 21. There were regular 489,908 winners, and in $6,411,088 non-jackpot money was won.

There are actually nine ways to play Powerball. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 293 million. The odds of simply doubling your money on a $2 ticket are 1 in 38.

As WXII News reports, Jacque Kendrick, a restaurant server from the city of New London, North Carolina, has just won nearly $2 million playing Powerball.

After her daughter emailed her a story about an unclaimed ticket which was worth $2 million, the lucky waitress looked at her ticket and realized it matched all five white numbers.

Kendrick says that she and her husband plan on saving the majority of the Powerball money and will use the rest of it to help out their daughters.

When it comes to keeping one’s head straight after a major lottery win, having a good plan for new wealth seems to be key.

As reported in Time, Keith Gough, a lottery winner from the U.K., did not know what do with himself after he won the jackpot back in 2005. So the guy started to drink out of boredom.

His wife soon left him, and he ended up in rehab. While receiving treatment for his addiction, the former baker met a con man who got him tangled up in some crooked deals and was able to get $1.1 million out of his bank account.

Five years after winning the lottery, Gough died of a heart attack believed to have been brought on by all the drinking and stress tied to his new life as a millionaire.
