In recent months, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has come under fire for treatment of immigrants it has arrested, and now public officials have raised concerns with agents in Texas who have been transporting detainees and abandoning them in other states.
Undocumented immigrant arrests have decreased at the Arizona-Mexico border by 16 percent and reported deaths have plummeted by 40 percent in the current fiscal year, "Fox News Latino" reported.
In what began on March 7 as a hunger strike demonstration with hundreds of detainees at a detention center in the state of Washington has dwindled down six days later to less than 10 remaining protestors.
