LA County Reports First Child Coronavirus Death Tied to MIS-C

A child, who was receiving treatment at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), has died from MIS-C, a multisystem inflammatory illness linked to the coronavirus.

A rare but potentially deadly inflammatory syndrome believed to be related to the coronavirus has been found in 15 children in Los Angeles, officials said.
Among the symptoms of MIS-C include fever, abdominal pain, rash and vomiting, thus, CDC advices parents to contact their doctor if their child is showing the symptoms mentioned.

The Texas Department of State Health Services recently said, it had been notified of some suspected cases of a mysterious illness called Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children or the MIS-C.
