"Scandal" star Kerry Washington has sold her Hollywood Hills mansion, further fueling growing speculation her brief marriage to former NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha may be nearing an end.

According to Sandra Rose, just three days after the estranged couple put it on the market, the 1926 French Country-inspired property sold for nearly $3 million.

Word is the two have been living apart ever since splitting up some time last year. Reports are Washington, who has a young daughter with her husband, will wait until sometime after the new year to make the split official.

The 3,855-square foot home comes with a decorative fireplace, five bedrooms, a gym and five full bathrooms. The property also boasts an immaculate outdoor living room and offers with views of the Hollywood hills and the iconic Hollywood sign.

Thirty-eight-year-old Washington lavishly wedded Asomugha, four years her junior, in a secret 2013 ceremony and almost from the moment they walked down the aisle there have been rumblings of trouble in paradise.

That same year, Asomugha was waived by the L.A. Raiders and some have speculated over time he grew more envious of all his wife's success.

As far back as December 2014, HollywoodLife reported the two appeared headed for splits-ville after just roughly a year of legally being together.

For the most part, the couple has publicly denied all the rumblings and when she shared news of her pregnancy at the Golden Globe Awards in 2014, Washington beamed with her husband by her side, "I feel like I have the best date of the night. My little accessory tonight."

Later that night, the two attended the Weinstein Company and Netflix after-party together, where Washington again raved, "Life is truly extraordinary right now."
