Nickelodeon does not pay Ariana Grande more than Jennette McCurdy for Sam & Cat, and Grande wants everyone to know it.

Despite it popularity, Sam & Cat has yet to be confirmed for season 2. Rumor has it that this is a result of McCurdy, 21, being at odds with the network because she makes less than her co-star.

On Thursday, Grande, 20, took to Twitter to deny these reports because, as she wrote, "this is really bothering me."

"Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards (as we should be, considering we each work just as hard as the other on this show)," she tweeted. "The rumors circulating about our contracts and our salary not being equal are absolutely ridiculous and false. I don't know who's putting these idiotic quotes out there but I thought I'd straighten it out and try to end this nonsense."

Grande added that she is not certain about the future of Sam & Cat.

" As far as the show goes, I don't know what's happening because I'm not directly involved with the problem but I just wanted to address this one rumor in particular because I am NOT making more money than my costar, nor do I think I should be," she continued. "...cause I don't play like that at all. I am, have always been and always will be about equality and fairness."

McCurdy has yet to respond to Grande's tweet.

"We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of Sam & Cat, and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest," Nickelodeon previously said in a statement.

In other Nickelodeon drama news, Drake Bell, former star of Drake & Josh, recently attacked Grande in a BuzzFeed interview, noting how she became "a billionaire before she's been an artist." The estimate, however, seems to be a gross exaggeration according to Celebrity Net Worth, which lists the star at $5 million.

"You have to work to be able to appreciate what you have, and what work did she ever have to do in her life?" he said of the actress.

Yesterday however, the 27-year-old claimed he was misquoted.

"Didn't say that about @ArianaGrande I lover her and think she is incredibly talented!! Just for the record :)," he tweeted.

Bell also posted two pictures of him with Grande and a video of her singing.

"Ariana Grande damn if only I could sing half this good!!" he tweeted.
