Selena Gomez recently admitted that she would rather be a Directioner than a Belieber.

The 23-year-old "Same Old Love" singer was asked by a fan on Instagram to choose between Justin Bieber's new album "Purpose" and One Direction's new offering "Made In The A.M.," according to Entertainment Tonight. She responded by fully supporting the English-Irish pop boy band.

Instagram user @disneylandgomez asked the question, "My friend likes jb and 1d but idk which one to get him? Purpose or Made in the AM?" The user also posted a photo with Bieber and One Direction's new albums side-by-side.

While several Instagram users made their opinions known through their comments, Gomez herself answered, "Made in the A.M." without hesitation. This makes sense because rumors have been circulating that Gomez and Niall Horan of One Direction are dating, though nothing has officially been confirmed yet.

The 22-year-old One Direction member was seen watching Gomez's set at KIIS-FM's iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in Los Angeles last week. That same day, the pair was spotted supposedly kissing at Jenna Dewan Tatum's 35th birthday party.

There's been a slight rivalry brewing between Bieber and One Direction, even before Gomez was possibly linked to Horan. When Bieber found out the boy band was releasing their new album on the same day as his, Nov. 13, he threw shade at the group over Snapchat.

After the numbers came out, Bieber was recognized as the clear winner when it comes to album sales. In the first week "Purpose" was released, Bieber sold 649,000 copies, while "Made In The A.M." only sold 459,000 units.

Gomez released her second solo studio album, "Revival," on Oct. 9. The album, which topped the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, produced the singles "Good for You," "Same Old Love" and "Hands to Myself."
