Jon Stewart recently impersonated Donald Trump on the "The Late Show" in order to get an important message out.

The former "Daily Show" host crashed host Stephen Colbert's opening monologue on Thursday to make a pitch to Congress to reauthorize the expired Zadroga Act, according to Rolling Stone.

In discussing the Zadroga Act, which is an important health care bill for 9/11 first responders. Stewart looked into the camera and was a bit demure at first in his delivery.

"You want people to pay attention, right?" Colbert said to Stewart. "Face it, Jon: The media won't pay attention to anything at all unless you are Donald Trump."

To up his game Colbert found a golden wig and placed it on Stewart's head to help him transform into character as Trump. Once he had the wig on Stewart tried his pitch again, but something was still off, Colbert said. He decided Stewart needed a little makeup and proceeded to smear orange Cheetos dust on his face. Colbert then told Stewart to make sure to "bring da noise, bring da Trump."

"These 9/11 first responders are the most top-notch, first-class, diamond-encrusted heroes America can produce," Stewart said in his best over-the-top Trump impression. "Don't let Congress play politics with this necessary bill. If I am elected - and I will be elected - I will build a wall around politics and I will make politics pay for it."

During his speech Stewart used words Trump commonly uses, such as "classy" and "fantastic," and also urged viewers to tweet at their congressmen with the hashtag #WorstResponders.

He ended his rant as Trump with, "Pass the Zadroga Act or I will glue Congress together, dip them in gold, and wear them around my friggin' neck."

The Zadroga Act, which expired on Sept. 30, will run out of funding early next year.
