One Direction has scored their seventh No. 1 with their track "History," which has skyrocketed to the top spot on the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks chart.

The English-Irish pop boy band recently performed the new track on the finale of the U.K.'s "The X Factor" on Dec. 13, according to Billboard. This particular performance garnered over 2.6 million global views on the show's official YouTube account.

Originally, the band formed on the talent competition show during the seventh season in 2010.

Just below the group at No. 2 on the Twitter chart is 5 Seconds Of Summer with their track "Jet Black Heart." Rounding out the top ten are Adele's "Hello" at No. 3, "Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber at No. 4, One Direction's "Infinity" at No. 5, Bieber's "Sorry" at No. 6, Fifth Harmony's "Worth It" featuring Kid Ink at No. 7, Chris Brown's "Back To Sleep" at No. 8, Drake's "Hotline Bling" at No. 9 and One Direction's "Perfect" at No. 10.

Each week the Billboard Twitter Top Tracks ranks the most shared or mentioned songs on Twitter over a seven-day period in the U.S.

One Direction released their fifth studio album, "Made in the A.M.," on Nov. 13. It is the follow-up album to 2014's "Four," which produced the singles "Steal My Girl" and "Night Changes." Their new album, which topped the U.K. Albums chart and landed at No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, so far produced the singles "Drag Me Down," "Perfect" and "History."

The group announced in August they would be taking an extended hiatus starting in March 2016. Members Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have agreed to take a break from the band and work on their own projects. Former member Zayn Malik left the band earlier this year.
