After having a dismal debut year at Old Trafford, David Moyes is expected to make big moves this summer in hopes of making the team a strong contender next season.

Reports indicated that Moyes was promised a huge £150 million transfer kitty over the next 18 months, and the under-fire manager already has a list of potential moves this summer.

Express reports that Moyes will jumpstart Manchester United's rebuilding this summer by acquiring Southampton duo Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana, who are also being targeted by other top-tier European clubs. Southampton is reportedly determined to keep both Shaw and Lallana, but reports indicate that the club could be forced to give up both players due to the club's finances being £27 million in the hole.

Chelsea is also interested in signing Shaw, who is a self-confessed Blues fan. However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been keeping their summer plan under wraps, giving Manchester United more room to negotiate with Southampton.

"Moyes is already close to winning the race for £20m-rated Shaw after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho started to have second thoughts about bidding for the player," Express' Neil Fissler revealed. "Shaw had set his heart on a move to his boyhood heroes but it appears that Mourinho -- who appeared to be keen -- is cooling."

The Shaw-to-Manchester United deal will likely be completed before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, while the Lallana transfer deal will depend on Southampton's asking price. Lallana reportedly has a price tag of £15 million at this point, but it will likely increase if the 25-year-old midfielder performs well in the Brazil World Cup and if other clubs express strong interest in acquiring the England international.

Manchester United will miss next year's Champions League, but Moyes recently insisted that their UCL absence will not be a factor, expressing confidence that they will land their top targets this summer.

"We're looking to spend the right money on players who are available, and it's not anything to do with Champions League," Moyes said. "Any players we've quietly discussed it with are more than happy to join Manchester United. They know it's not a long-term thing."
