Apple just released its first beta for iOS 9.3 on Monday, but an Italian hacker said he has already found a way to jailbreak the operating system.

Luca Todesco announced that he has successfully created a jailbreak tool for iOS 9.3, Forbes reports. Todesco is best known by his Twitter user name @qwertyoruiop. In the past, he has been quick to post his discoveries for hacks on the social media site.

Todesco posted a video of his iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3. In the clip, he shows the Cydia icon on the home screen, indicating that his iPhone is jailbroken. Todesco's video also shows the new Night Shift mode to prove that the device is running iOS 9.3.

However, the hacker has insisted that he does not plan to release his jailbreak findings to the public or other developers.  If Todesco decides not to release his jailbreak tool, the jailbreak community would have to wait until the Pangu or TaiG teams release a jailbreak tool of their own.

The hacker also proved that he can jailbreak iOS 9.2.1, which has been in beta for developers since Dec. 17. Since Apple put iOS 9.3 into beta on Monday, iOS 9.2.1 should be released to the public very soon.

If there is a public jailbreak tool for iOS 9.2.1, it would likely be patched up pretty quickly when the full version iOS 9.3 is released. This could mean that there is no iOS 9.2.1 coming to the public. Todesco probably used the same exploits he found in iOS 9.2.1 for the iOS 9.3 jailbreak.

Currently, the latest versions of iOS to be jailbroken for the public are iOS 9, iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2. Apple was able to patch those exploits with iOS 9.1.

iPhone owners who have upgraded to iOS 9.1 or iOS 9.2 are no longer able to have their phones jailbroken, until a new jailbreak tool is released for the upgraded system. There is also no way to downgrade back down to iOS 9 for owners who have made the switch.
