Getting into pre-baby shape is a daunting task for many women, and it wasn't any different for Jenni Rivera's sister, Rosie.

She opened up to TV Y Novelas and explained how gaining 60 pounds after having her first child affected her. She said that it got her down, and it even made it difficult for her to date. One day her sister found her crying, and gave her the advice she needed.

"I felt very bad physically. I was sad about my weight and she saw me crying. She said, 'first of all, you're gorgeous and that you have to believe. If you believe it and you project that, everyone else will believe it, too,'" she said. "'You can't just stay here crying. It doesn't do anything.' She inspired me."

Jenni Rivera told her sister to envision herself at the weight she wanted to be and what other ways she wanted to appear to the world, and to work for that. This not only lifted Rosie's spirits, it made a difference.

Jenni Rivera was, after all, proud of her curves.

"Every time that she accepted her curves, she knew she was gorgeous," she said. "And we could all see it. She taught me that. Accept yourself. Love yourself."

Rosie also revealed that Jenni wasn't always this confident.

At the beginning of her career, she was told that she couldn't become a singer and be overweight. It bothered her, but she eventually said that she would succeed and that she would show everyone.

Rivera wass known to be proud of her body and even once said that one didn't have to be skinny to be happy. She had no problem showing off her curves, and wore form-fitting and sometimes revealing outfits.
