It looks like Laura Prepon just 'never can say goodbye' when it comes to the acclaimed Netflix series, "Orange Is The New Black."

In the first season of the "OITNB" series created by Jenji Kohan, Prepon plays the role of Alex Vause, the antagonist and sometimes love interest to Taylor Schilling's character, Piper Chapman. The series centers around Schilling's character as she navigates and learns to adapt to life behind bars while she also deals with the estranged relationship she has with Prepon's character, who happens to be her ex-girlfriend and a former drug lord.

We can't make this stuff up.

Both Schilling and Prepon's characters are an integral part to the series' plotline, so it was quite a shock to learn last year that Prepon opted out of the show on its second season.

Needless to say, "OITNB" fans were not happy about Prepon's departure and how greatly it would affect the show (after all, the show DOES revolve around Chaoman and Vause's tumultuous relationship).  So with a little help from the show's creator Jenji Kohan and Prepon herself, she now appears in four episodes on the second season set to release on June 6.

So what exactly caused the ping-pong game with Prepon's character?

"Basically, I wasn't a series regular and wasn't under contract, and then had a scheduling conflict that came up during Season 2. A lot of our jobs is about timing ... When you're not under a "series regular" contract and other jobs come up, you try to juggle everything. But I love the show and I love my character, and I told Jenji from the get-go, "I want to be in as many as I can." So we did, and I'll be in four episodes for Season 2, said Prepon to The Daily Beast.

If four episodes in Season 2  is still not enough to cure your "Prepon-OITNB addiction" there's no need to worry as Prepon also revealed that she will be back on the show FULL-TIME for season 3.

"....if we get a Season 3, I'll be in every episode. I totally missed the show. It sucks, but there's only one of me, and there's only so much time in the day. We did what we could, and if there's a Season 3, I worked it out so that wouldn't be an issue anymore."
